Purpose of Proverbs
In what areas of life do the Proverbs of the Bible apply? Interestingly, the first few verses share 4 areas - business, religion, justice, and governance. Why are we fearful of suffering? Is suffering something to be avoided at all costs? Is there any purpose or meaning in suffering? Can suffering be avoided? Is the question not so much “why” we suffer, as “how” we suffer and “who” is with us during our suffering? Is affliction essential? Is adversity essential?
